Heat Advisory Issued For The Weekend

A Heat Advisory for a good portion of the mountains will go into effect today at noon and last until 8 p.m. Saturday. Lawrence County, Ky and Wayne County, WV are under an Excessive Heat Warning as well for the same time period.Highs for both Friday and Saturday will be in the lower 90s with heat indices at or above 100°. Limit time outdoors for both days, take plenty of breaks in the shade, drink water, and wear sunscreen. We could see a stray chance for a shower or two both days. Lows will be in the lower 70s both nights.
