Hiking Opportunities In Eastern KY

They are calling it the ‘Hump Day Hike’. It is a guided tour through several trails developed by Pathfinders of Perry County and the Perry County Fiscal Court.With multiple trails ranging from easy to advanced, organizers say it is a way of highlighting the beauty of Eastern Kentucky and boosting tourism in the region.”For years, we’ve felt like we have to drive to Red River Gorge or drive to Virginia to hike, but these trails are as beautiful as anything in the Gorge”, said Jenny Williams, who leads tours through the trails. “And we’re really proud to have them here and really want people to know about them.”
