Inmate Escapes from Rockcastle Co. Work Detail

Police are continuing to search for an inmate who escaped while on work detail Friday.

Officials say 30-year old Joseph Morris of Livingston escaped while mowing grass along Highway 1955 in the Red Hill community of Rockcastle County.

Morris was able to get around a perimeter that was set up by deputies. He’s described as a white male, 5’6, and 105 pounds wearing brown khaki pants with an orange shirt. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
