Investigating A Hotel Fire

Officials are investigating a fire at a hotel in Logan County.The fire at the Mountain Trail Inn was reported shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday. It also closed down a portion of state Route 10.Assistant State Fire Marshal Larry Hamrick said no one was at the property when crews showed up. He said it’s possible squatters are responsible.According to Hamrick, they are trying to track down the owner of the building, which has been vacant for some time.The fire was contained to one room downstairs, and there is heavy smoke and water damage.
