Keeping Water Flowing Despite Water Main Breaks

Several water main breaks and leaks in Perry County over the last several several days led Hazard city officials to issue a water supply emergency last Friday. Several parts of the county are without water, one of them being the Leatherwood community. Officials say the water giveaways will continue for as long as the water is out. Local teachers hope this giveaway helps make life a little easier, especially for students so they will come to school. Officials say if there are no new water breaks services should be restored by tonight.
