KSP Issues Warning of Man Impersonating Police in London

Police in Laurel County are issuing a warning about a man who has tried to pull over people, posing as an unmarked police officer.

The sheriff’s office said a woman reported a man driving a car with flashing red and white lights pulled her over near London on Wednesday.

The man walked up to the car window, pulled a large hunting knife, forced his way into the car, and made the woman drive to a hayfield and tried to assault her. She said the man then got out along the highway to make a phone call, which is when she took off.

Police say that man is not in custody.
