KY-Based Mattress Store Filed For Bankruptcy

Kentucky-based retailer Innovative Mattress Solutions has filed for bankruptcy.The company, which owns Sleep Outfitters, Mattress Warehouse, and Mattress King is seeking Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.As a result IMS is expected to close some of its 155 stores.According to court documents, Lexington-based Tempur-Sealy, has agreed to provide up to $14 million in bankruptcy financing.Innovative Mattress Solutions owns stores in Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, and Indiana.
