KY General Assembly Holding Special Session

Gov. Matt Bevin will convene a special session of the Kentucky General Assembly.Bevin made the announcement Monday that the special session will begin Friday, July 19, at 8 a.m.The special session will aim to pass a quasi-agency pension relief bill. This includes relief to agencies such as regional universities, health departments, domestic violence centers and community health centers.The governor said the quasi-agencies are dealing with financial stress caused by the state’s looming public pension crisis.
