KY Possibly Changing Hate Crimes Laws

Two lawmakers are pushing for changes to Kentucky’s hate crime laws.This comes after two people were killed at a Kroger outside Louisville.Both Republican Representative Jason Nemes and Democratic State Senator Geral Neal pre-filed bills calling for change. Both are pushing for a mandatory ten-year sentence for hate crimes. The suspect in last month’s shooting is facing hate crime charges at the federal level.
