KY Programs Receive Federal Funding

Hundreds of Kentucky programs have been awarded more than $26 million in federal grant money.The grant money comes just a week before Christmas and for one Lexington non-profit, it’s a gift they will be able to use right away.Greenhouse 17 provides shelter and emergency counseling services for domestic violence survivors. The early Christmas gift was about $1.2 million coming into the organization. A Greenhouse 17 spokesperson says, “You name it our job is to try and provide wrap around services, counseling, and support to survivors.”
