KY Supreme Court Rules In Favor Of Governor Bevin

The Kentucky Supreme Court ruled Governor Matt Bevin does have the right to re-organize state boards while the legislature is not in session.Attorney General Andy Beshear sued the governor after he overhauled several state education boards in the summer of 2017.The attorney general argued Governor Bevin overstepped his authority.Bevin’s attorney said prior governors made the same moves.Thursday the state’s high court upheld a lower court’s ruling that the governor’s actions were legal.
