Lawsuit Filed Against The Board Of Elections

The Kentucky Democratic Party contends in a new lawsuit that the State Board of Elections placed 175,000 registered voters on an “inactive list,” possibly infringing on their right to vote.The Lexington Herald-Leader reports Kentucky Democratic Party Chairman Ben Self said in a statement the party determined the lawsuit was necessary to prevent “unfair burdens” on voters. Races for governor and other statewide offices are on the Nov. 5 ballot.
