Letcher County Looking for Volunteer Firefighters

Officials in Letcher County are looking for volunteers at fire departments countywide.

Volunteer fire stations need only 13 people on their roster to be considered a certified fire department but even filling those spots recently has been difficult.

Right now, a number of firefighters are working at mutiple fire stations in the county in order to keep them staffed. Anyone interested in joining is just asked to stop by a fire station.
