Lexington Man Charged in London Murder

London police arrested one man in connection with a murder that happened Wednesday night in Levi Jackson Park.

Police were called to the park Wednesday after getting multiple reports of a dead body near the park’s amphitheater.

The victim, 53-year-old James L. Mays, was from Lexington. On Thursday, officials arrested another Lexington man, 42-year-old Edward D. Brewer.

He’s now charged in connection with Mays’ death and is being held at the Laurel County Detention Center.
