Martin County Schools Receive Water Donations

A few teachers in Carter County are giving back in a big way to Martin County which is known for its water problems. Saturday, those teachers drove nearly two hours to donate more than 100 cases, along with a few jugs of water, to local schools. 20 cases of water will be distributed among the 5 schools. “I truly believe that’s what we’re put on earth to do is to help other people,” said teacher Merry Berry.That is exactly what Berry and her co-workers did to help their fellow Kentuckians. “We put it out on Facebook that we were helping and that, you know we needed gallons of water, some cases of water. It just started coming in,” explained Berry.
