Mill Springs Battlefield Becomes National Park

After more than two decades in the works, the latest expansion of national parks and monuments has finally included Mill Springs Battlefield.

The historic Civil War Battlefield has 900 acres spanning Pulaski and Wayne Counties.

The President signed the over-arching parks bill into law on Tuesday. It was declared to be a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1993 and had kept that staus since.
