New Crime Technology Being Introduced

Governor Matt Bevin and Kentucky State Police will make an announcement Wednesday regarding new sexual assault case technology.Kentucky will be the first state to use a DNA technology tool developed for the testing of sexual assault evidence kits. The tool can lead to the identification of suspects within hours.Bevin will join KSP Commissioner Rick Sanders and Justice Secretary John Tilley at the KSP Central Forensic Laboratory in Frankfort.The announcement is set for 10 a.m.
