New Water Meters For Floyd County

Floyd County’s Southern Water and Sewer District is receiving $1.5 million in grant funding to upgrade water meters for its customers.”It’s a shot in the arm for the water district. It allows us to move forward with just some really new technology,” said board chairman Jeff Prater.Prater said the grant announcement, which was made at the 2019 SOAR Summit Friday, comes at the perfect time because the Public Service Commission recently informed the district that it has to update its equipment to be compliant with regulations.
