Not Wearing Seat Belts Costing Lives In Perry County
Perry county is the first in fatalities in the state related to people not wearing seat belts.”Every fatality that occurred in Perry County, all those victims were unbelted,” said Trooper Jody Sims, talking about 2016 and 2017.In those two years, the county had a 100 percent fatality rate in crashes where people were not wearing seat belts.In 2018, the number dropped to 80 percent, which is still incredibly high. So far this year, it is 75 percent with a couple of months to go.
