One Dead in Friday Fire in Whitley County

One person died after a house fire in Whitley County yesterday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Gail Hart Road in the Rockholds community. Firefighters found an unidentified person in the wreckage of the fire.

The cause of death is unknown- troopers are conducting a death investigation and have not released the person’s identity.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.
