One Ton Sized Pumpkins Make The Great KY Weigh Off
Some big pumpkins took center stage Saturday at Bear Willow Farm in Pulaski County. Farmers from Kentucky and surrounding states gathered for an annual pumpkin weigh off. Larry and Bill Burton, brothers from Nancy, KY, took home the $1,000 prize. They grew a pumpkin weighing 1,578 pounds, just 16 pounds less than last year’s Kentucky state record. They plan to harvest seeds from the pumpkin and try again next year.
