Opioid Crisis Hits Very Close To Home In KY
As President Trump signed a bill this week to curb the opioid crisis it’s important to know, from 2013 to 2015, there were more than 50,000 children raised by a relative in Kentucky after being taken from drug addicted parents. From 2016 to 2018, that number reached 96,000 children which accounts for nine percent of all children in Kentucky. Kentucky’s statistics are close to two times the national average.
