Overnight Fire At Conley Bottom Resort

An overnight fire took out a number of buildings at Conley Bottom Resort in Wayne County.The fire started around 2 a.m. at the Conley Bottom Resort on Lake Cumberland. The fire destroyed an office, cafe and some boats, right before one of the busiest times of the summer season. Those at the marina said Memorial Day weekend will be busy as usual, or as close to usual as possible.Conley Bottom managers and owners said it could have been much worse. Their rental boats, jet skis and other items used heavily on holiday weekends were spared.
