Pike, Jackson Counties Announce New COVID-19 Cases
Officials in Pike County have confirmed a fourth positive case of COVID-19.
Health officials say the new case is a 62-year-old man who is already hospitalized at Pikeville Medical Center along with one of the other positive cases. The other two are at home in isolation.
Meanwhile, the Cumberland Valley District Health Department confirmed 34 new cases in Jackson County, bringing the total number of cases there to 41. Each of the nearly three dozen new cases are linked to a single nursing home, Jackson Manor.
That one facility is now responsible for 40 of the 41 cases in Jackson County.
