Plenty Of Winter Salt In Eastern KY

Winter weather made its mark in Eastern Kentucky this past weekend forcing road crews to go to work.The early winter weather was cleaned up quickly and efficiently as the transportation cabinet put salt and calcium chloride on the roads.Claude Cooper is the Superintendent in Perry County and says his salt supply is in no danger.”I’ve been here a long time and throughout the years I have seen a lot of snows on and off for 6-8 weeks at a time just small storms and you know you have to start counting your numbers and be more specific on how you use it,” said Cooper.
