Pumpkins Affected By the Recent Rain
Pumpkin patch owners say it was a struggle to keep their pumpkins healthy with heavy rains at the beginning of their season.Hillview Stables, LLC. owner Rick Gregory says he used to not like dry seasons while growing his pumpkins, but has learned through experience that pumpkins are kept to maintain during wet conditions.While the rainfall did affect their numbers as their season began, staff say even with the rain they had numbers of around 700. But say, they are glad the weather has subsided and they can go back to their average numbers of around 1,500 or more on a weekend day.
