Reopening Schools

Reopening Schools

Kentucky health and education officials are meeting today to figure out how to reopen schools safely. Interim Education Commissioner Kevin C. Brown says the meeting will be used to establish a timeline for reopening schools in the state. Brown thinks August will be when districts will be able to start classes again, although he says schools should be prepared to move to non-traditional teaching methods if circumstances warrant that. The Department of Public Health has Healthy at Work Guidelines that they believe schools should follow, such as wearing facemasks and continuing social distancing.
