Restored Historic Courthouse In Lexington Complete
The restored Historic Courthouse in downtown Lexington held an open house Sunday for members of the public to come and visit. A ribbon cutting was held earlier as the building was rededicated. The courthouse renovation took 4 years and cost about $32 million. The renovation added an event space and restaurants. The courthouse now has a modern interior while still preserving original marble and rotunda. A popular new feature is the glass floor that was put in, which lets you see each level you’re on.
