Roadside Weed Mitigation

Kentucky transportation crews are starting to treat roadsides around the state for weeds in an effort to improve driver safety and efficient maintenance operations, officials said.Crews were expected to begin treatment for noxious and nuisance weeds this month, the Transportation Cabinet said in a statement. They are targeting Johnson grass, giant foxtail, Canada thistle, nodding thistle, common teasel, multiflora rose, Amur honeysuckle, poison hemlock, marestail, Japanese knotweed and kudzu.
