Salvation Army Serves Up Thanksgiving In KY
There were lots of happy faces at the Salvation Army in Lexington Thursday. Reports indicate 800 people enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal. It is a tradition that has been going on for years. It is also a meal that includes familiar faces in Kentucky. This year, Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes along with Coach John Calipari helped to serve these meals.Some of Coach Cal’s players came along as well.”A lot of people aren’t as fortunate as us to come here and help out those people. it’s just really good,” said Major Bill Garrett with The Salvation Army.
