Santa Train Suspended

Meanwhile, the CSX Santa Train will not run in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.According to a statement released Thursday by McNeely, Pigot and Fox Communications representing CSX, the traditional Santa Train will not make its 78th trip through Appalachia this year. Instead gifts will be distributed at a drive-through event at Food City locations along the Santa Train route on Nov. 21. A schedule for the distribution and locations of the stores taking part in the event hasn’t yet been released.
