School Receives GEAR UP Grant

Williamsburg Independent School received the GEAR UP grant for their school, which will help add 5 staff members.Staff say the GEAR UP grant is aimed at helping students academically and helping them prepare for college.The grant Williamsburg Independent School received will allow for 3 new academic interventionists and 2 career navigators.Principal Tim Melton says the grant will give the school $350,000 per year to the school that will benefit kids in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
