Search And Rescue Readiness Training

Campbellsville Search & Rescue and other area fire departments from various central Kentucky fire department and rescue agencies recently took part in intense swift water rescue training exercises. The training is all part of a four-day long Swift Water Rescue School, and is conducted by Special Ops of the Campbellsville Search & Rescue team. Among the strenuous exercises undertaken by attendees, is a one-and-a-half mile long night river survival float. A video posted to Facebook shows participants leaping into swift waters in the dark of night. Attendees also received training in paddleboat operations, boat flips and handling, combative patient drills, and more.
