Signs Vandalized At Daniel Boone National Forest
Multiple signs were vandalized in the Daniel Boone National Forest over the past several months.Daniel Boone National Forest posted on their facebook page about the recent vandalism and how much each sign cost.”They’re expensive. I mean, we can spend $500 to $1,000 on some of our bigger signs”, said Jason Nedlo, who works with the London Ranger District. “And you have to have a sign on each side. So then you’re talking $1,000 to $2,000 for one location.”Nedlo says it hurts knowing the community’s tax dollars are not going toward improving the forest.”It’s their tax dollars that go into trying to remove the graffiti”, said Nedlo. “And the money we spend on that means it’s improvements and maintenance we can’t do on the national forest.”
