Southern KY Welcome Center Opens

A new welcome center has opened in southern Kentucky.Gov. Andy Beshear announced on Wednesday that the center on Interstate 75 in Whitley County had officially opened. It’s located at the 1.5 mile marker.Although state officials have advised people to limit travel due to the coronavirus pandemic, they are working toward resuming safe travel in the future, a statement from the Kentucky Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet said.The welcome center will serve as a gateway for tourists traveling from Tennessee into Kentucky and will be a thoroughfare for commercial drivers passing through the area.
