Statue Removed
After an 11-to-1 vote on Friday by the Historic Properties Advisory Commission, the statue of Jefferson Davis was removed from the Capitol Rotunda on Saturday. The statue which has been in place since the 1930’s is being relocated to the Jefferson Davis historical site in Fairview where the Confederate president was born.
