July 4th is just days away and the Prestonsburg Fire Department is preparing their biggest firework show.Fireworks may be fun, but they also bring danger.”Safety is the number one priority,” said Mike Brown, the Prestonsburg fire chief.The Prestonsburg Fire Department prepares for almost two weeks for their firework display.Brown says they make training a requirement.”About every three years, we make it mandatory that we go back and see if there are any updates or any changes in the manufacturing of the shells or anything that may have changed,” said Brown.Brown warns people buying fireworks, not to buy any commercial grade rounds. The outcome could be devastating.
