Stolen Truck Suspect Arrested

Pikeville Police investigating a report of a stolen pickup truck found the vehicle, along with drugs inside.The truck was reported stolen to Pikeville Police late Friday night. The owners had security camera footage of a car dropping off a man, who then drove away with the truck.The vehicle was tracked down to a Road Fork residence occupied by Chester Akers. Police confirmed that the truck was the same one that had been reported stolen.Officers told Akers he was under arrest and needed to get his personal items out of the truck. While he did so, police say Akers ran away and tried to hide, but was caught a short time later.
