Successful Rescue Effort

Officials from the Pulaski County Rescue squad said crews were called after a man got stuck on the ledge of a cliff on the North Bank of the Cumberland River in Burnside.Responders found the man about 30 feet below the edge of the cliff.After accessing him, crews helped him another 100 feet to the water below where a boat took him to a nearby ambulance.The Somerset Pulaski County Rescue Squad was assisted by the Burnside Volunteer Fire Department.The Rescue Squad would also like to thank the fishermen who stayed nearby and were willing to help with rescue efforts.
