Thanksgiving Travel Expected To Increase

Thanksgiving is near which means many people are preparing to visit family and friends.A report from AAA said they are anticipating says 49.3 million people to drive to their destination and and 4.4 million to fly. Both of these numbers are up about 3 percent since Thanksgiving week last year.According to AAA, the number of people expected to be on the road this week is the second highest since 2000.The Associated Press reports that during the last couple weeks, compared to the national average, gas prices were down three cents. However, the price is now two cents above average for the holiday weekend.AAA is encouraging the public to double check their cars before leaving for a long-distance drive. They are anticipating having to service about 368,000 break-downs from Wednesday to Sunday.
