Transportation Funding For Whitley County

There will be a focus on transportation funding in Whitley County this year. The Whitley County fiscal court met for the first time in the new year and approved a resoution in support of improving funding for transportation throughout the state. whitely County Judge Executive Pat White Jr. says the local fiscal court has seen some pretty significant impacts over the last several years in cuts in transportation funding and I know that we have a whole lot of needs in our funding and that any increase in transportation funding would really pay off for our citizens.” He also says the average person spends $300 a year in repairs to their vehicles due to poor road conditions.
