University Of KY Names New Baseball Stadium

The University of Kentucky has announced the name of its new baseball park.The ballpark will be named Kentucky Proud Park after the UK Board of Trustees approved the name Friday. The university says the name is a tribute to farmers and businesses in Kentucky. Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart said. “As the Commonwealth’s flagship university, we are thrilled to honor that through the name of our new baseball stadium and pleased to have a partner in Kentucky Farm Bureau that feels the same way. We look forward to many, many wins in Kentucky Proud Park.”The $49 million baseball stadium is located off Alumni Drive.
