VP Mike Pence Announces Millions For KY Opioid Crisis
Air Force Two with Vice President Mike Pence on board landed at the London-Corbin Airport – Maggee Field Thursday.The Vice President then went to Manchester along with Governor Matt Bevin and Alex Azar, the secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Congressman Hal Rogers is present as well.The Vice President announced more than $9 million in grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to help Kentucky’s fight against opioids. This includes $750,000 in training grants for the University of Pikeville, $167,000 for prevention and treatment services at Eastern Kentucky University and $167,000 to Kentucky-based Grace Community Health Center, among others.
