Wildfire Burning In Perry County

A wildfire in Perry County started around 11 p.m. Sunday night and is still burning this afternoon.Vicco Sassafras Fire Rescue is responding until the Division of Forestry takes over.At one point, the fire came close to one home.Officials worked to wet down the kudzu near a home as the fire came within roughly 40 feet of the home.The truck crews were using to put out the fire had to be filled up three times.Fire crews say they expect to see more wildfires with another dry week ahead.
