Wooten Fire and Rescue Faces Possible Shut Down

Wooton Fire and Rescue is facing the very real possibility of having to shut its doors.

Despite fundraiser after fundraiser, all the station can seem to pull in is a hundred dollars here, a hundred-fifty there.

Chief Tony Lewis told WYMT that doesn’t even cover their power bill. They continue to ask for donations as a last-ditch effort to keep the station open.

Wooten Fire and Rescue has been around for more than three decades.
